Makenna & Tyson

Makenna really loves her cousin, Tyson! She is always wanting to sit by him and love on him. I was holding Tyson and then Makenna made it known that she would like to hold Tyson. I guess she thinks she has had enough practice with her baby dolls. I had her sit on the couch by me and I put Tyson in her lap. She thought that was the best! She almost immediatly started to play and sing "Patty Cake" with his feet and by the time I got the camera out, I had to ask her to do it again. This video is her attempt to do "Patty Cake" with Tyson and point out all his body parts.

Masquerade Marty Gras Party

Julie invited us girls to go to this Marty Gras party with her in Provo. You had to have a certain dress attire and had to have a mask to get in. I have never been to a party where you had to dress a certain way and had to wear a mask, so that was fun. Julie dressed me up in some clothes of hers and that was probably the funnest thing for me because I never have a reason to dress up. The party wasn't really for pregnant people so that was a little ackward for me. My job was just to sit there are look pretty watching the other girls get their groove on and take lots of pictures. Makenna and Grandpa Savik

Makenna has been having so much fun with Grandpa Savik. She loves being outside and knows that Grandpa will take her. They have walked around the neighborhood a few times now and have a cat that follows them around. Makenna thinks that is pretty neat. Makenna also likes to visit the neighbors dogs and play on their toys that are just laying around outside. The other day she was walking a little ahead of grandpa and went up to a neighbors door and knocked on it. This older woman came to the door and was so excited to see a little girl at her door. She then asked Makenna if she would like some candy. Makenna just walked right in her house like she knew her.....the things she will do for candy. She was so excited to go away from her house with two little Hershey kisses. Thanks mom and dad for letting us borrow the digital camera to keep everyone updated on little Makenna and the new baby to come. I love it!

Makenna Sledding

Makenna had so much fun sledding for her first time ever! Her cousin, Spencer, was so good helping her down the hill her first time. He made sure to hold on to her really tight......so tight that when they wrecked he rolled off right on top of her, trying not to let go. Makenna loves being outside and was such a good sport everytime she wrecked, got snow on her, or even when she would go by herself. She would hold on as best she could. It's a good thing her whole body can fit on that saucer. It made her mom a little scared when Grandpa suggested for Ryan to send Makenna down by herself because she is not even two yet. I was very impressed with how well she did. She didn't cry once. Thanks Grandpa Savik for taking us sledding!

Savik Gathering

Dustin, Jerrilyn, and Makenna took a trip to Springville, UT at the end of August for Elle and Tyson's baby blessings. Jerrilyn was able to stay longer than Dustin which allowed her to be at Tyson's blessing a week after Elle's. It was great that the whole family was there. We were able to get a new family photo with new baby Tyson and Elle. We had so much fun while we were there. Makenna was able to ride a horse first the first time thanks to Ange Durbin and of course Vanessa for sharing her horse. We went up Hobble Creek and did tin-foil-dinners - it is beautiful up there! I think Makenna favorite part was seeing all her cousins. She really loves babies so to have Tyson and Elle there was a real treat for her. She was always wanting to kiss and love on them. Can't wait till we all get together again!
